DJ Rossstar's California Adventures

Hidden amongst the fancy hotels and antique shops of Palm Springs is one of the scariest thrill rides in America. Don’t believe me? … Read on!
Known as the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, this giant rotating tramcar will pick you up at One Tramway Road, and lift you a mere 8500 feet into the mountains.
The tramcar has clear windows, allowing you to see all of the trees, plants and rocks under you, as you are being lifted by a series of (very) thin cables. For the most part, it’s a smooth ride, however, two or three times you will reach a brief dip, resulting in the swaying of the tramcar (People aboard my tramcar would gasp every time this happened).
Once you reach the top of the mountain, you will be surrounded by breathtaking views that one would only see if traveling by airplane. The Mountain Station has a gift shop and restaurant inside of it where you can relax before heading back down the mountain. Or if you are feeling adventurous, over miles of hiking awaits you beyond the Mountain Station, inside of the Mount San Jacinto State Park.
The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is not to be missed when traveling to/through Palm Springs. Tickets are only $22.95 for adults and the tramcars depart every 30 minutes (starting at 10:00 am). You can spend your entire day in the mountains and take the last tramcar down at 9:45 pm … Just don’t get stuck there overnight!
