When was the last time you went to a laser light show? Probably never, right? If you are ready to experience the magic of the ‘laser,’ buy your ticket today for Laserium.
Located at 6321 Hollywood Blvd, right near the corner of the infamous Hollywood & Vine intersection, Laserium now sits in the spot of an ancient movie theater. The inside of Laserium is exactly how the theather left it (minus the blacklights in the entrance) … popcorn, red reclining seats and all.
Laserium offers three different laser light shows, depending on your musical taste. The Beatles light show runs every Thursday and Friday at 7:30pm, and every Satuday and Sunday at 4:15pm. The Pink Floyd light show runs every Thursday and Friday at 9:00pm, Saturday at 7:30pm and 10:30pm and Sunday at 7:30pm and the Led Zepplin light shows runs every Friday at 10:30pm and Saturday and Sunday at 9:00pm.
We attended the Pink Floyd laser light show on a Saturday night and I was completely blown away. The length of the show is synched up with Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon record & one bonus song. The multi-colored lasers are a beautiful display that allow you to experience the power and emotion of the songs in a completely different way from simply listening to the music on your stereo.
* It’s important to note that the light show is conducted by the man who did lights for Pink Floyd’s actual stage show.
Laserium will only cost you $12 and it’s an enjoyable experience for the entire family (even your creepy uncle who is trying to relive the 60’s and 70’s one last time). The owner Jonathan Todd made it a point to greet and converse with almost every guest that night and you can truly feel his passion for Laserium within moments of speaking with him.
