The Museum of Jurassic Technology is not just your ordinary museum … It’s an experiece!
The museum is located at 9341 Venice Blvd, right in the heart of beautiful Culver City. The entrance to the museum is so hidden that if you even blink, you will miss it.
Once inside the museum, you will feel like you’ve stepped into either a mad scientist’s secret lair or a haunted house. I will try to describe it in words, but you really have to see it for yourself to truly understand why.
The premise of the museum itself is to showcase both technological advancements and superstitions of the past, but your eery surroundings (abrupt noises in between lengthy moments of complete silence, dark exhibit rooms) can easily distract you.
If you focus your attention on the actual exhibits, you will find them quite interesting.
For example, did you know that both a rat sandwhich and glass of urine were thought to be cures for human illness?
And have you ever seen the erosion of a pair of dice, religious-based holograms, a giant wheel of bells and various characters in the eyes of tiny needles? Yeah … I thought so! And these are just a few of the many exhibits The Museum of Jurassic Technology has to offer.
Did I mention there is a tea room on the second floor that offers free tea and cookies? Did I mention the entire museum is free?
Go to The Museum of Jurassic Technology … And go alone … if you dare!
